The 2018 Nissan Versa Note is powered by a 1.6-liter I-4 rated at 109 hp and 107 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired exclusively to a CVT (a manual is available on the Versa sedan). EPA fuel economy ratings are excellent at 31/39 mpg city/highway, making it one of the more efficient subcompact cars available. Cargo capacity is 18.8 cubic feet with the standard 60/40 split-folding rear seats up and 38.3 cubic feet with them folded. In addition to the folding rear seats, the 2018 Nissan Versa Note features storage underneath the cargo floor, which also doubles as a divider.

Standard features on the base S trim include 15-inch steel wheels with covers, cloth upholstery, a four-speaker audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, and four-way manual adjustable seats. The SV trim adds a 5.0-inch screen, 15-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, keyless entry, a rearview camera, and six-way adjustable front seats. On the range-topping SR trim, it gets 16-inch alloy wheels, faux suede upholstery, fog lights, keyless entry/start, side sills, a roof-mounted spoiler, turn signals integrated into side mirrors, and the Easy-Fill tire alert system.
